With multiple locations nationwide, insignia is widely recognised as experts in identification and traceability, and work with world-leading brands in thermal printing, barcoding, data capture, marking & coding. 

We are looking for a superstar, HSEQ Business Partner to continue leading insignia to ‘Zero Harm’. You will be proactive in achieving and implementing safety standards throughout insignia while working closely with the National HSEQ & Supply Chain Manager. About the role:

HSEQ Partnering and Support

• Develop and deploy the HSEQ strategy across insignia.
• Lead consultation on changes to the Safety Management System (SMS) and Quality Management System (QMS).

Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Control

• Assist, coordinate and advise on completing hazard identification, risk assessment, and control processes for plant, equipment, and tasks.
• Analyse quality performance to identify, current and emerging trends.

Investigations, Analysis and Continual Improvement

• Monitor all HSEQ incidents, lead investigations and review the circumstances of work injury, illness, and dangerous events.

Audits and Reviews

• Conduct, monitor and provide support with all internal audits as well as plan for and support external HSEQ audits.
• Lead the implementation of corrective action to address non-compliances identified during audits.

Training

• Ensure employees’ HSEQ compliance training and accreditations are current and recorded.
• Conduct safety inductions, training sessions in HSEQ improvements and compliance.
• Assist with the arrangement of external training providers.
• Act as a subject matter expert and provide HSEQ content for in-house training.

Documenting, Reporting Systems & Submissions

• To provide accurate and timely reports for insignia management, including end-of-month.
• Update procedures, documents, and manuals and upload to the Group’s Intranet.
• Write and undertake document control of various procedures and work instructions

Stakeholder Engagement

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with relevant internal stakeholders and trading partners.
• Maintain confidentiality of injury case management with only those relevant persons.

Projects

• Assist with the development and implementation of approved HSEQ projects and initiatives.

About you:

• 5+ years’ experience in a Senior Safety/HSEQ position.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO 45001 (Safety) management systems, with experience in implementation, auditing, and continuous improvement.
• Experience in developing, maintaining, and improving HACCP-based food safety management systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to conduct internal audits, manage external certification processes, and drive corrective actions to enhance compliance and operational excellence
• Hands-on experience in training and supporting teams to uphold ISO and HACCP standards in daily operations.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or distribution environment is (preferred).
• Experience in Rehabilitation and Return to Work Co-ordinator (preferred).
