About the role:

This is a full-time opportunity in Sydney, reporting to the National Sales Manager – Consumables and VIP (Thermal Printing, Scanning and Mobile Computing). As the Business Development Manager, you will drive new business opportunities (70% new business and 30% existing valued clients). This will involve many aspects of business development, such as:

  • End-user and corporate sales
  • Alliance development
  • Management and contribution to marketing and business strategy

 

This role promises challenge and variety every day, with the opportunity to work with like-minded business professionals.

 

The position's remuneration will be commensurate with your experience and include a base salary, on-target and stretch commission, and car allowance. 

 

About you:

We seek an individual who can or has:

  • Leads by example
  • Recognise business opportunities and actively seek out new business and close sales.
  • Take ownership of actions; follow through on commitments and meet deadlines.
  • Anticipates and responds to customer needs by seeking and acting on their feedback.
  • Establishes open and trusting relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including C-Suite
  • Writes and presents technical and non-technical information clearly, concisely and persuasively.
  • Teamwork: must understand the importance of working with multiple departments
  • CRM expert (experience with Microsoft CRM desirable)
  • Understand the importance of a healthy Pipeline
  • Medium to High skills in MS Suit of products
  • Previous experience in business development or sales representative roles.
  • 3-5 years in a role involved in Face to Face customer meetings
  • Previous experience in a new business sales role.
  • Car Licence
  • Own a car
  • Knowledge of the labelling and coding equipment industry, major competitors, and insignia customers (desirable)
